Chosen for a New York apartment
Plants selected for the light a Queens apartment actually gets, not for the light a plant would prefer.
Half the plants sold in this city die of a mismatch between the window they were bought for and the window they went home to. We ask about the window first. A north-facing airshaft in a prewar walk-up is a real constraint, and there are genuinely lovely plants that will thrive in it.
Everything is potted here in a vessel you would keep — no plastic nursery pot inside a basket. We top with moss, we tell you the actual watering interval in days rather than the word occasionally, and we write it on a card that stays with the plant.
Phalaenopsis in single, double and triple-spike, potted in ceramic. Six to twelve weeks of bloom, and we will show you how to get a second spike.
Monstera, fiddle-leaf fig, rubber plant, olive, ZZ, snake plant and pothos — matched honestly to your light.
A mixed dish garden, longer-lived than cut flowers and the right answer for a hospital room or a new office.
Bring us a struggling plant. We repot, treat and diagnose, and we do not charge for telling you it is unsalvageable.

Questions
ZZ plant, snake plant, cast-iron plant and pothos genuinely tolerate low light. A fiddle-leaf fig does not, whatever the shop that sold it to you said. Tell us which way your window faces and we will match the plant to it.
Roughly every seven to ten days in a New York apartment — a good soak at the sink, then let it drain completely. Never leave it standing in water. We write the interval for your specific plant on its care card.
Usually, yes. After the last flower drops, cut the spike back to a node and keep it somewhere bright and slightly cool. It often re-spikes within a few months. Bring it in and we will show you where to cut.
Yes, across our whole delivery area. Anything over about four feet we carry up ourselves and set in place rather than leaving in a lobby.

Call the shop and speak to a designer, or send us the details and we will call you back within the hour. We will tell you what is genuinely beautiful today rather than what a photograph promised in March.
