Floral Design Workshops

Two hours at our workbench with a designer, all the flowers you can use, and something worth putting on your own table at the end of it.

We started running workshops because people kept asking how the spiral hand-tie is done, and it turns out you can teach it in about twenty minutes. The other hundred minutes are the interesting part — how to choose, how to condition, and why your supermarket bunch collapses on day three.

Everything is provided: flowers, tools, an apron, wrapping and a glass of something. You take your arrangement home along with a written care sheet and, we hope, the confidence to buy flowers without a plan.

Genuinely for beginners

Most people who come have never made anything. There is no test and nobody watches you fail — this is a workbench, not a class.

All materials included

Flowers, foliage, snips, twine, wrapping and a vessel. Bring nothing.

Private groups

Birthdays, bridal showers, team offsites and hen parties. Six to fourteen people in the shop after hours, or we come to you.

Seasonal specials

Holiday wreath-making in December, spring bulb bowls in March, dried arrangement classes year-round.

Workshops — the things people ask

Do I need any experience?

None at all. The overwhelming majority of people at any given class have never made an arrangement, and the technique that makes bouquets look professional takes about twenty minutes to learn.

What is included in the price?

Flowers, foliage, tools, apron, wrapping, a vessel where the class calls for one, a care sheet and a drink. You bring nothing and you leave with your arrangement.

Can we book a private group?

Yes — six to fourteen people in the shop after hours, most evenings, with about a week's notice. Bridal showers and team offsites are the two we run most often.

Do you run classes for children?

We run a shorter, simpler session for ages eight and up during school holidays. Ask us what is scheduled — they fill quickly.
