Roses & Luxury
Long-stem and garden roses, seasonal peonies and rare blooms — including hat-box and preserved rose designs.

Cut fresh every morning
Hand-tied and arranged to order from flowers that were at the Manhattan market this morning — not pulled from a cooler of pre-made bunches.
Most of what leaves this shop is an everyday bouquet — a Tuesday apology, a thank-you to the woman who watched the kids, a Friday armful for the kitchen table. It is the least ceremonial thing we make and the thing we are judged on most, because you see it every day for a week.
So we buy small and often. Our van is at the flower market on 28th Street four mornings a week, which means what you order on Thursday was cut for us on Wednesday night. Nothing sits. If a stem will not still be beautiful in five days, it does not go in your bouquet.
Tell us a color, a person or a feeling and let the designer choose from what is genuinely good that morning. This is the order that gets you the best flowers, every single time.
A hand-tie in kraft and ribbon if it is going somewhere with vases, or arranged in glass ready to set down if it is not. Say which when you order.
Hand-written in the shop, in English or Spanish, and never printed on a receipt. Tell us what to say and we will get the accents right.
If a bouquet does not hold for five days in fresh water, call us. We remake it. This has cost us very little over thirty years, which is rather the point.

Questions
We buy four mornings a week at the Manhattan flower market rather than holding large stock. A bouquet ordered today was almost always bought within the last twenty-four to forty-eight hours, and we guarantee five days of vase life in fresh water.
Yes, and we will tell you honestly whether they are in season and good this week. Peonies in October exist, but they arrive from Chile at four times the price and half the size. We would rather send you something spectacular than something merely requested.
You give us a budget and any constraints — colors, allergies, a person to think about — and the designer builds the strongest arrangement possible from that morning's market. It consistently produces the best flowers for the money.

Call the shop and speak to a designer, or send us the details and we will call you back within the hour. We will tell you what is genuinely beautiful today rather than what a photograph promised in March.
